Just Mental Health, Incorporated, is a community-based outpatient mental health clinic owned and operated by Dr. Danielle Perkins Manning, an African-American woman and native of Indianapolis, Indiana. She is a board-certified family psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner with over 20 years of experience in nursing practice, education, and research.
The vision of JUST Mental Health is for an effectively responsive, accessible, and equitable mental healthcare system for the diverse citizens of Indiana communities.
A collaborative and interdisciplinary system comprised of doctors, nurses, social workers, psychologists, community members, and activists who are responsive to the mental health and illness of the community and equally attentive to all harmful spheres of influence. A system that endeavors to exact change that emphasizes prevention and promotes positive mental health, recovery, and coping.
The mission of JUST Mental Health is to empower community members with mental healthcare and evidence-based education that supports mental health, healing and recovery, and the prevention of mental illness.
Further, to reduce barriers to access to mental healthcare and to support dismantling discrimination, stigma, and disinformation related to mental illness and addiction challenges.
JUST Mental Health, first and foremost, values diversity, equity, advocacy, recovery, and redemption and builds its practice based upon a foundation of scientific evidence.
Discrimination, stigma, and disinformation are vehemently opposed and have no place in an accessible and equitable mental healthcare system.
